As requested by the membership, Plastics Europe is organising two online implementation workshops on the PPWR, building on the previous value chain webinar held in late March:

• Workshop 1 – 27 May (10.00 – 12.00)

    Covering general overview and timeline, implementation of the PPWR, recyclability of     packaging and recycled at scale

• Workshop 2 – 3 June (10.00 – 12.00)

    Focusing on recycled content and bio-based plastics, reuse targets, restrictions and     bans

Each workshop will include a presentation from our SCIII experts Judit Guerra-Falcon (Technical Affairs and Circular Economy Manager) and Katharina Schlegel (Director circularity), and our external consultants from Edelman Global Advisory (Fiona Durie and Sabine von Wirén-Lehr) – they will look at what has been agreed in the final PPWR text and what it means, timelines, what is still to come (secondary legislation), outstanding questions. Please, bear in mind that these are not compliance workshops – there may be some technical or legal questions that we cannot answer.

There will be a Q&A session afterwards where members can ask questions and we will try our best to respond. Please feel free to forward this invite to colleagues in your company. The workshops will be for Plastics Europe members only.
